My best friend in high school, i wish i did more to help but i went to college and she moved to Philly. This absolutely breaks my heart, i always wonder how she’s doing and someone showed me this interview today and i lost it. I visited Bri in Philly maybe 4/5 years ago and we got rose tattoos, i think of her everytime i look at it. i pray she makes it out.

He didn't do "nothing" in the 4 years of being sober, he recovered by himself. That's even harder then doing it with a program or the 12 steps. He's mentally very strong. He could become a recovery coach, work in a store (but only in a good neighborhoor), go back to school to study, volunteer for elderly people or children, work in a daycare for children, work in a shelter for animals, etc. I think he underestimates himself and also how people would respond to him if he had a nice job. He's a nice guy, people will probably be happy with the work he could do. Start small and find a job that brings some joy. 💙

not to sound mean, but im done feeling sorry for addicts. I mean these people arent feeling the pain of life like the rest of us. They stay high, dont work, and are completely clueless to the REAL sufferring in the world. In some twisted ways we should be envious. Alot of the sufferring we see is I think more mental illness at work than the drugs I think.
